A leadoff single, a two out walk, and a hit batter loaded the bases for Louisville, but UVA got out of the jam. Cavaliers lead 6-0 heading to the 4th

Top of the 3rd

A leadoff walk from Weatherspoon and a single from Didawick put two runners on, and then Johnson walked to load the bases with no outs. An error scored two runs to make it 5-0, and Louisville made a pitching change. Murray grounded into a double play, but an RBI single from Becker pushed the lead to 6-0. Louisville got the final out, but Virginia's lead grew.

A leadoff walk and a single put two runner on with no outs, but Zatkowski kept the Cardinals scoreless. UVA leads 3-0 heading to the top of the 3rd

A leadoff single from Didawick, a one-out single from Jackson, and a walk from Murray loaded the bases for UVA. An error scored Didawick to make it 1-0 and then a 2-RBI single from Tiroly extended the Cavaliers' lead to 3-0. Harris lined out to end the inning, but UVA has a 3-0 lead heading to the bottom of the 2nd

Gracia draws a one out walk and Tiroly singles, but UVA leaves two stranded. Game is tied 0-0 heading to the bottom of the 1st
