Christian Lucarelli replaced Jaxel to start the 4th. He strikes out two in a 1-2-3 scoreless inning. UVA leads 6-3 heading to the bottom of the 4th

Scoreless 1-2-3 inning for UVA. Cavaliers lead 6-3 heading to the 4th

Top of the 3rd

After two quick outs, a single and a walk put two runners on and then a 2-RBI double cut UVA's lead to 6-3. Jaxel got the final out and UVA leads by three heading to the 3rd

Bottom of the 2nd

A lead off single from Murray led to a one out, 2-run home run from Gracia that extended the lead to 6-1 in favor of Virginia. Tiroly was able to reach on an error, but Richmond got the final two outs. UVA leads 6-1 heading to the 3rd

Top of the 2nd

Three walks loaded the bases and Kevin Jaxel was brought in to replace Stammel and he got the final out. UVA leads 4-1 heading to the bottom of the 2nd

Bottom of the 1st

Perrotta was hit to lead off the inning, and Tiroly drew a one-out walk to put two runners on. A dropped third strike and an error scored Perrotta to tie the game 1-1. Johnson walked to load the bases and then Holmes was hit to score a run and make it 2-1. A 2-RBI single from O'Connell pushed the lead to 4-1 and then he was caught stealing to end the inning. UVA leads 4-1 heading to the 2nd

Top of the 1st

A one out walk and a hit batter put two runners on for the Spiders and then an RBI single gave them a 1-0 lead. Stammel got the final out, but UVA has an early deficit.
