Top of the 9th

Another scoreless inning for Underwood and Georgia Tech has come back from an 11-3 deficit to win the game 14-11!

The win moves the Yellow Jackets to 35-7 and 18-5 in the ACC. They go for the sweep tomorrow afternoon.

Bottom of the 8th

Scoreless 1-2-3 inning for GT. They lead 14-11 heading to the 9th

Top of the 8th

Scoreless 1-2-3 inning for Wake. GT leads 14-11 heading to the bottom of the 8th

Bottom of the 7th

A ground rule double from Baker, a wild pitch, and a walk loaded the bases for Georgia Tech with no outs and Wake made a pitching change. An RBI single from Kerce made it 11-10 and then an RBI double from Burress tied the game at 11-11. Advincula got his fifth hit of the day on a 2-RBI single that gave Georgia Tech a 13-11 lead and then Lackey singled to put runners on the corners with one out. A sac fly from Schmidt pushed the lead to 14-11 and then Hernandez singled to give Georgia Tech two runners on with two outs. Wake got out of the inning but the Yellow Jackets have the lead.

Top of the 7th

Underwood strikes out the side and Wake leads 11-9 heading to the bottom of the 7th

Bottom of the 6th

A pair of singles from Zuckerman and Daniel got the inning started, and then a run was driven in to cut the lead to 11-6. Burress got a two-out walk to put runners on the corners with two outs, and a 2-RBI double from Advincula cut the lead to 11-8. Lackey was intentionally walked and then Schmidt singled to load the bases. A wild pitch scored a run to make it 11-9 and the Hernandez left three stranded with a groundout. Wake leads 11-9 heading to the 7th

Another scoreless inning for Underwood. Wake leads 11-5 heading to the bottom of the 6th

Bottom of the 5th

After a leadoff single from Burress, Advincula gave Georgia Tech a two-run home run that cut the lead to 11-5. Georgia Tech went down in order after that but they cut into the lead and trail 11-5 heading to the 6th

Top of the 5th

Cooper Underwood replaced Angelakos to start the 5th. He issues a pair of walks but pitches a scoreless inning. Wake leads 11-3 heading to the bottom of the 5th

Bottom of the 4th

Scoreless 1-2-3 inning for GT. Wake leads 11-3 heading to the 5th

Top of the 4th

Angelakos sets them down in order after giving up a leadoff double. Wake leads 11-3 heading to the bottom of the 4th

Bottom of the 3rd

Scoreless 1-2-3 inning for GT. Wake leads 11-3 heading to the 4th

Top of the 3rd

Dimitri Angelakos came in to replace Campbell and gave up a solo home run that made it 11-3 in favor of Wake. Angelakos struck out the final two batters, but the Yellow Jackets trail by eight.

Bottom of the 2nd

Georgia Tech got on the board thanks to a one out double from Zuckerman and a two-run home run from Will Baker that cut the lead to 10-2. Kerce then singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch and Burress drove him home with an RBI double to make it 10-3.

After an 87 minute delay, the game has resumed.

Game is in a weather delay that began at 1:03 p.m. ET.

Top of the 2nd

After a quick first out, back-to-back solo home runs for Wake gave them an 8-0 lead. After a walk, Georgia Tech made another pitching change, bringing in Kayden Campbell to replace Lankie. He gave up a single and walk to load the bases and the he got the second out. However, Wake scored two more on a 2-RBI single to make it 10-0. Lankie got a groundout to end the ining, but the hole got deeper for the Yellow Jackets

Bottom of the 1st

Advincula gets a two out single and Lackey draws a walk, but no runs come across. Wake leads 6-0 heading to the top of the 2nd

Top of the 1st

A pair of walks led to a one out, three-run home run for the Demon Deacons that gave them a 3-0 lead. It did not stop there however. A solo home run made it 4-0 and then Shadek hit a batter to put a runner on base with one out. James Ramsey made the decision to pull Shadek and replaced him with Jake Lankie.

The pitching change did not help. Back-to-back RBI doubles stretched the lead to 6-0 and then Lankie finally got the final two outs. There is a long way to go, but Georgia Tech has plenty of work to do.
