Mason Patel replaced Shadek in the bottom of the 9th. He pitches a scoreless inning and Georgia Tech defeats the Owls 10-7. The win moves them to 37-7 ahead of their weekend series against Xavier that begins on Friday.

Singles from Burress and Advincula, plus a walk from Lackey loaded the bases with one out but Schmidt grounded into a double play. Georgia Tech leads 10-7 heading to the bottom of the 9th

Baker drew a one out walk and Brosius drew a two out walk after pinch hitting for Daniel. Rogers struck out swinging though and Georgia Tech leads 10-7 heading to the bottom of the 8th

After two strikeouts to start the inning, a solo home run cut the Georgia Tech lead to 10-7. Shadek bounced back to get the final out and Georgia Tech leads by three heading to the 8th
Top of the 7th
Kerce gets a leadoff single, but no more runs for Georgia Tech. Yellow Jackets lead 10-6 heading to the bottom of the 7th
Bottom of the 6th
Justin Shadek replaced Spivey to start the bottom of the inning. He struck out two and pitched a 1-2-3 inning. GT leads 10-6 heading to the 7th
Top of the 6th
A one out single from Advincula got a runner on and then an RBI double from Lackey pushed Georgia Tech's lead to 9-6. Schmidt was hit by a pitch and a groundout from Baker advanced the runners to second and third with two outs. Zuckerman was intentionally walked to load the bases and then Daniel walked to extend the lead to 10-6 for Georgia Tech. Rogers grounded out to end the inning.
Bottom of the 5th
A one out double and then a two-run home run cut Georgia Tech's lead to 8-6 and then Spivey was able to get out of the inning.

Daniel gets a one out single, but is left stranded. GT leads 8-4 heading to the bottom of the 5th

Rogers was hit by a pitch and Kerce doubled to put runners on second and third with no outs and Burress gave Georgia Tech an 8-4 lead with a three run home run. Georgia Tech leads by three heading to the bottom of the 4th
Bottom of the 3rd
A leadoff walk put a runner on and after a stolen base and wild pitch, he was at third. A sac fly cut the lead to 5-4. Caden Spivey would replace Vicens and he got out of the inning and left two Owls stranded. GT leads 5-4 heading to the 4th
Top of the 3rd
Back-to-back singles from Schmidt and Baker put two runners on with one out, but GT left them stranded. Yellow Jackets lead 5-3 heading to the bottom of the 3rd
Bottom of the 2nd
Jamie Vicens is in for Ballard. A one out walk and single put two runners on and then a three-run home run cut Georgia Tech's lead to 5-3. Vicens got out of the inning, but the lead had been cut to two.
Top of the 2nd
Scoreless 1-2-3 inning for GT. They lead 5-0 heading to the bottom of the 2nd
Bottom of the 1st
KSU gets a leadoff double and walk to put two runners on, but a double play helped end the inning and GT leads 5-0.
Top of the 1st
A leadoff single from Kerce and a double from Burress put runners on second and third with no outs. A one out RBI single from Lackey gave GT a 1-0 lead and then an RBI single from Schmidt made it 2-0. It did not stop there though. An RBI double from Baker pushed the lead to 3-0 and had runner on second and third with one out and an RBI groundout from Zuckerman gave GT a 4-0 lead.
Caleb Daniel gave Georgia Tech a 5-0 lead with an RBI single and then Rogers struck out to end the inning. GT leads 5-0

Tech holds a 36-7 record, its best 43-game record ever recorded, and a 19-5 record in ACC play, its best 24-game ACC record ever recorded.
The team heads into this week after delivering its third-straight ACC series sweep at home, the first time any Tech team has done so since 1997.
The 2026 offense is currently on pace to set program records in batting average (.354 – record is .347), on-base percentage (.468 – record is .434), slugging percentage (.618 – record is .575) and runs-per-game (10.6 – record is 10.3).
This will be the 40th all-time meeting between GT and KSU, with the Jackets winning each of the last three meetings dating back to 2023. Tech is 9-5 at KSU in the series history.
