Having grown up in Pocatello, home of the Idaho State Bengals, John Severs is a lifelong fan of small schools that don't always deliver a lot of wins. Prior to writing for On SI, John covered the Beavers for SB Nation's Oregon State blog Building the Dam, with a focus on baseball and women's basketball. When he's not watching college sports he spends most of his time reading, playing video games and annoying cats.
Women's Basketball
Oregon State will host Wisconsin in the first round of the WBIT. After a tough Big 10 schedule the Badgers enter the tournament on a 10 game losing streak, but could give the Beavers some trouble.

For three and a half quarters the Beavers and Bulldogs battled back and forth, but in the end it was Lauren Whittaker and Gonzaga who punched their ticket for March Madness.
Baseball
After spotting the Musketeers a pair of early runs, the Beavers capitalized on a series of Xavier miscues in the bottom of the seventh to win their sixth game in a row.
Women's Basketball
After two regular season losses against the Lions the Beavers finally took down LMU in the WCC Tournament with a career game from Ally Schimel. The Beavers are now one win away from returning to the NCAA Tournament.
