Live Updates of Alabama Softball vs. Texas in SEC Tournament Championship

Alabama takes on Texas for a shot at its seventh SEC tournament title. The Crimson Tide and Longhorns both took advtange of being a top-four seed that earned the double bye and won their first two games of the tournament.
The two teams met back in the regular season with Texas winning the first game by eight runs before Alabama bounced back to take the next two games and the series at Rhoads Stadium. Those games were played in front of huge crowds, but Saturday's game as even bigger stakes: a conference championship ring.
First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT, and the game will air on ESPN. BamaCentral will provide updates throughout.

- Sacrifice fly by Atwood makes it 7-1 Texas with two outs.

- Moten looks like she will be OK, but she exits. Fellow freshman Kaitlyn Pallozzi enters for her first appearance of the SEC tournament.
- An infield single off of Moten puts runners on the corner with one out. Moten is being looked at by the trainer and pitching coach.
- Martinez singles through the right side and moves into scoring position on a wild pitch.
- Solo home run for the SEC Player of the Year to extend the lead. Texas 6, Alabama 1

- Wells grounds out on the first pitch, and Alabama is kept off the board for the fourth straight inning.
- Young strikes out swinging to bring Alabama down to its final out of the inning.

- Bad day to have a bad day so far for Alabama. Too many mistakes, including a dropped third strike from Giles.
- Vandagriff drops a fly ball in left field that would have ended the inning. Instead, two runs are able to score with two outs. Texas 5, Alabama 1
- Martinez walks on four pitches. Two on with two outs for the Longhorns.
- The wild pitch comes back to bite Alabama because that hit would not have been deep enough to score Maloney from first. Stewart stands on second base after advancing there on the throw.
- Stewart singles out to left field to score Maloney. The Longhorns add to their lead. Texas 3, Alabama 1
- A wild pitch moves Maloney into scoring position with two outs for Stewart.
- Henry goes down swinging. Two outs.
- Maloney chops a one-out infield single to turn things over to the top of the lineup.
- Moten strikes out the first batter she faces. One out.
- Freshman Vic Moten enters the circle for Briski, who had thrown 70 pitches through the first three innings.
