One of Lionel Messi’s goals during his United States trip for the Copa America Centenario is to meet Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, but his Barcelona teammate Neymar got the chance first.
After Golden State’s Game 2 blowout of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, Neymar got to hang out in the locker room with the Warriors, swapping jerseys with Curry and taking photos with several players.
Messi has been busy rehabbing a back injury that could keep him out of Argentina’s Copa America opener on Monday, but perhaps before the group stage ends next Tuesday he will have the opportunity to meet Curry, though the two stars have already swapped signed jerseys.
Neymar, meanwhile, met Curry and paid a visit to two of his countrymen, Leandro Barbosa and Anderson Varejao.

Neymar is not playing for Brazil in the Copa America, as he chose the Olympics over Copa America in response to Barcelona’s requirement that he play in only one tournament this summer. However, he still made the trip to watch his country play, cheering them on from the stands alongside Jamie Foxx and Justin Bieber.

Neymar also hung out with Bieber on Friday, so meeting the Warriors was just the latest development in his star-studded week.
