Patriots UDFA Tracker: Every Undrafted Signing, Hidden Gems to Watch

In this story:
The seven-round NFL Draft is officially over, and the New England Patriots have started the process of retooling their roster for the 2026 season. They brought in some fantastic players, including Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu, Illinois edge rusher Gabe Jacas and Notre Dame tight end Eli Raridon on the the first two days.
But that's not all.
The front office and scouting department are now hard at work to bring in undrafted free agents to join the team.
New England has been very successful in acquiring productive UDFAs, including Adam Vinatieri, Stephen Neal, Malcolm Butler, David Andrews, Jakobi Meyers and Brenden Schooler. Will any of this year's signees join the ranks of some of the best under-the-radar players in recent history?
One person who won't be part of the immediate undrafted free agent frenzy is head coach Mike Vrabel, who is out of the state to seek counseling involving photos that were released of him and former NFL reporter Dianna Russini. Despite his absence, executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf doesn't expect anything to change for the post-draft signing period.
"We're very confident in the people we have with the process," Wolf told reporters earlier this week. "The assistant coaches have done a tremendous job, as have the scouts, preparing for day three. And we're excited about it."
Here's the Patriots On SI undrafted free agent/rookie minicamp invitation tracker, keeping you up-to-date on which college players will also be joining the rookie class of 2026.
Florida State OG Jacob Rizy
The first reported signing was Florida State offensive guard Jacob Rizy, who previously spent time at Harvard. He's played all over the offensive line during his college career, with snaps at left guard, center, right guard and right tackle over the last two seasons with the Seminoles. He's expected to receive a $5,000 signing bonus.
Culver-Stockton WR Kyle Dixon
The Patriots reportedly bringing in a wideout from NAIA school Culver-Stockton! Dixon, who got to perform in front of NFL scouts at the Hula Bowl, was named to the AFCA-NAIA Coaches' All-American First Team this past season. The 6-foot-4 Dixon had 83 catches (the fourth-most in school history) for 1,282 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior
TCU CB Channing Canada

Canada is reportedly joining the Patriots' defense, the second TCU Horned Frog to do so (linebacker Namdi Obiazor was drafted with the 212th overall pick). As a senior, Canada started every game for TCU and totaled 22 solo tackles (30 total). He's a former JUCO product who transferred to TCU ahead of the 2024 season.
UCF RB Myles Montgomery

After drafting a running back in Jam Miller, the Patriots are adding another one. A source tells Patriots On SI that New England is bringing on Myles Montgomery, a team captain who had 705 rushing yards and four touchdowns this past season -- both career highs. One of the best backs in program history will now join what's becoming a crowded running back room.
James Madison WR Nick DeGennaro

One of JMU's best players last year during their run to the College Football Playoff, DeGennaro is reportedly bringing his talents to the Patriots offense. He had 28 catches this past season for 500 yards and five touchdowns, while also completing a 50-yard pass in the team's CFP game against Oregon. The versatile DeGennaro was at the Shrine Bowl this past offseason in front of NFL scouts.
North Texas WR Cameron Dorner

Another wide receiver for New England, who didn't draft any during the seven rounds prior. Dorner, who also played at Shepard with Tyson Bagent, was one of the best players on North Texas this past season. He had 50 grabs for 845 yards and six touchdowns, including two games with 100+ recieving yards. Prior to that, his Division II experience helped put his name on the map.
Illinois TE Tanner Arkin

Arkin is the second Illinois rookie to join the team, along with second round edge rusher Gabe Jacas. This past season with the Fighting Illini, the 6-foot-4 Arkin was a team captain and one of their top blocking tight ends. He caught 13 passes for 144 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He has the second-most career starts at tight end in Illinois history (29).
Miami DT David Blay

One of the members of Miami's defensive line last season en route to the National Championship game, Blay was an All-ACC Honorable Mention player last season. He had 28 tackles last year for the Hurricanes, and has previous college experience at Louisiana Tech and West Chester (Divison II).
Oklahoma State CB Kenneth Harris

Another defensive back inking an undrafted deal. Harris spent six years in college, splitting time as a cornerback and a safety. He had 33 tackles last year for Oklahoma State, as well as a sack. He's a core special teamer who has the athletic traits to compete for a roster spot.
Georgetown WR Jimmy Kibble
The fourth wide receiver signed to a UDFA contract, Kibble shined for Georgetown. The 6-foot-1 wideout caught 63 balls for 1,002 yards and four touchdowns last season, and he has 143 career catches for the Hoyas. He's a well-built player that could work well in the slot for Josh McDaniels.
UAB OG JonDarius Morgan
The Patriots added several offensive linemen to the roster through undrafted free agency, and Morgan -- who played at right guard last year for UAB -- is the most recent one. He's 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds who first started playing college ball at South Carolina before transferring to UAB. He was ranked a top-50 player in the state of Alabama coming out of high school.
Missouri LB Khalil Jacobs

After three pre-draft meetings, including a facility visit to Gillette Stadium, it felt like a forgone conclusion that Jacobs would end up in a Patriots uniform. A few days after the initial rush of undrafted free agency, a source told Patriots On SI that the former Missouri and South Alabama linebacker would be joining the roster. He's a team captain and a productive player on special teams, and should make a great case to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
The Patriots will also be invited several prospects to their rookie minicamp. While these players won't count against the 90-man roster, they'll take part in the team's three-day workout on May 8-10. Last year, the Patriots signed offensive guard Mehki Butler and defensive tackle Isaiah Iton to the active roster after successful rookie minicamp workouts.
Fresno State DE Korey Foreman

Fresno State announced that Foreman -- once one of the top high school recruits in all of football -- as invited to both the Patriots' and Tampa Bay Buccaneers' rookie minicamps. After originally beginning his college career at USC, he transferred to Fresno State ahead of the 2024 season and had six sacks and 10 tackles for loss during his two seasons there.
Central Michigan LB Jordan Kwiatkowski

The senior linebacker was announced as a rookie minicamp invite after a productive career with Central Michigan. Kwiatkowski spent four seasons with the Chippewas, racking up 255 career tackles and 28.5 tackles for loss since joining the team in 2022. He was named an All-MAC linebacker back-to-back seasons (Second Team in 2024, First Team in 2025).
Hawaii S Peter Manuma

The Hawaii safety is getting several cracks at a rookie tryout, as he was invited by both the Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. Manuma -- who's hometown is in Hawaii -- played in 49 games for the Rainbow Warriors over the last four seasons, racking 280 total tackles and seven pass breakups.
UMass CB Malcolm Greene

Greene has been around the block in college football. Originally starting his career in 2020 with the Clemson Tigers, Greene later had a stint with Virginia before transferring to the Minutemen this past year as a graduate student. The 5-foot-11 defensive back played in 11 games and was invited to the Patriots' local pro day back on April 7.
Indiana P Mitch McCarthy

With Patriots punter Bryce Baringer entering a contract season, it makes sense for the team to bring in some sort of competition. McCarthy was the Hoosiers' punter this past year on their way to the national title, booting the ball 37 times and pinning 15 of those inside the 20-yard line. The Australia native had previously played at UCF.
Incarnate Word LB Declan Williams

One of the nation's most underrated linebackers, Williams put together a fantastic season for Incarnate Word. The son of former Philadelphia Phillies reliever Mitch Williams, the linebacker -- who previously played at Rhode Island -- was named to the All-Southland Conference First Team and earned an invitation to the East-West Shrine Bowl this past January.
Marshall WR Floyd Lacey
Yet again, the Patriots continue to add new faces to the wide receiver room. Lacey, who also goes by Demarcus, was one of four Marshall players named to the All-Sun Belt First Team this past season after having 769 yards and five touchdowns. Before Marshall, Lacey suited up for North Alabama and Jacksonville State.
UC-Davis OT Eli Simonson

The first offensive lineman to earn an invite to rookie minicamp, Simonson was a productive left tackle for the Aggies -- especially in the run game. The former teammate of now-Patriots running back Lan Larison, Simonson was named First Team All-Big Sky this past season after making 13 starts.
Idaho OT Nate Azzopardi
The redshirt senior spent several seasons for the Vandals along their offensive line. In 2024, Azzopardi played 14 games for Idaho, and the 6-foot-3 lineman is a three-time captain. Azzopardi was named First Team All-Big Sky last year and All-Big Sky Honorable Mention one year before that. He'll also be attending the Seattle Seahawks' minicamp as well.
Tampere Saints (Finland) WR Logan Collier

This has to be the most obscure invitation the Patriots sent out. Collier, who had been invited to the Buffalo Bills' minicamp in 2025, used to play college football at North Alabama. Now, he's playing overseas in the American Football Association of Finland for the Tampere Saints. Collier also has experience as a returner.
Alabama LS Kneeland Hibbett

After hosting him on a workout back in March, the Patriots have reportedly invited Hibbett back for rookie minicamp. After going undrafted in 2025, he was signed by the Miami Dolphins but released shortly after. The former First Team All-SEC long snapper will be likely be there as a break glass in case of emergency role.
Eastern Michigan DT Tyrell Martin
The senior defensive tackle started 12 games for EMU last season, recording 44 tackles and four of them for loss. Prior to his career with the Eagles, he spent time at Delaware State as a member of their track and field team. A former walk-on, Martin had a 34" vertical at his pro day -- which would have been tied for second-best among all defensive tackles at the NFL Combine.
