In this story:

The Kansas City Chiefs' bye week came at a near-perfect time, as it followed a trip to Germany and allowed the team to rest up and prepare for the stretch run of the season. Since everyone got back to work ahead of a Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, it's been relatively smooth sailing on the injury front.

On Thursday, everyone on the active roster practiced for Kansas City. Friday's media availability saw more of the same get announced, as all players are expected to work in the afternoon. All nine members of the first official injury report for this week were full participants in practice on Thursday. Here's the group:

  • WRs Richie James (knee), Kadarius Toney (ankle) and Justin Watson (elbow)
  • RBs Clyde Edwards Helaire (illness) and Jerick McKinnon (groin)
  • S Justin Reid (calf)
  • CB L'Jarius Sneed (knee)
  • P Tommy Townsend (wrist)
  • LB Drue Tranquill (shoulder)

Of that group, the duo of James and Edwards-Helaire was held out of Week 9's win over the Miami Dolphins overseas. The former was a full participant in practice during the week but didn't get activated off the injured reserve list in time, whereas the latter was a late scratch from the team's plans as he came down with the aforementioned illness. Punter Tommy Townsend is the only player whose injury status was discussed on Friday. Special teams coordinator Dave Toub provided a bit more context to the wrist ailment his All-Pro has been dealing with.

"He's okay," Toub said. "He banged up his hand and his wrist. It concerns you a little bit with the holds and then obviously catching the punts and the snaps, but he did that a while back. We had the week off and he's moved on from that. He's still on the injury report because he wants to keep getting it treated — it's still bothering him a little bit — but he's going to be okay."

Overall, this is good news for a Chiefs team that needs to be as close to full strength as possible. The visiting Eagles are one of the very best teams in the NFL, which will bring plenty of challenges in Week 11. Luckily for Kansas City, Andy Reid's group is in solid shape health-wise and everyone on the active roster is tracking to potentially be available for a big game on the Monday Night Football stage.
