1st half
HALF — Miami 40, Purdue 38. C.J. Cox caught fire late in the first half and knocked down three threes, all of them clutch. Without those buckets, Purdue might be facing a much larger deficit at the break. The Boilermakers need to erase the turnovers and get back to crashing the glass.

7:35 — Third media timeout and Purdue leads Miami 25-22. The Boilermakers are giving the Hurricanes a heavy dose of Trey Kaufman-Renn in the post. It's clear they don't think Miami's post can handle TKR. He has 10 points and five rebounds and is shooting 5-of-7. Oscar Cluff is up to four rebounds.
8:36 — Miami has worked its way back into this game at 25-20. A few quality possessions on both ends by Gicarri Harris. Got a block in transition and Purdue got a stop. Then draws contact on the other end and makes both free throws.

12:17 — A three-pointer from Fletcher Loyer extends Purdue's lead to seven points and Miami takes a timeout. The Boilermakers are on a 13-2 run over the last 4:11 to really turn this game around. Fletcher Loyer with 10 points already.

What's at stake
Purdue is looking to reach the Sweet 16 for a third consecutive season and continue its March Madness journey. This a particularly important postseason for the Boilermakers, as longtime program leaders Braden Smith, Fletcher Loyer and Trey Kaufman-Renn are suiting up for their final NCAA Tournament run.
Miami coach Jai Lucas is hoping to continue this magical first-year run with his team. Miami enters the game wit a 26-8 record, despite having to build a roster through the NCAA transfer portal. Not many expected the Hurricanes to have such a successful season considering the amount of change it endured.
It makes for an interesting matchup in St. Louis on Sunday. What better way to start Day 2 of the second round of the NCAA Tournament?
